About Chef Tom

Chef Tom Owino runs Chef Tom Culinary Service in Tanzania. He has written food columns for Kenya’s Nation Newspaper, Prime Parenting, and Adam Magazine for over ten years. He has worked at the Norfolk Hotel Nairobi, Moonflower Palacina, New Arusha Hotel, and many more.

He is also involved in organizing the East African chapter of World Chef’s Day, teaming up with VETA, NCT, and more. He has prepared special programs and trained less fortunate members of the society in Arusha to be self-reliant through cooking and baking.
